Summary:

Responsible for executing the designs of apparel and accessory products through product specifications and communications with overseas vendors. Leads communication with the manufacturer on product specifications and approvals through development and production within established calendar.This position requires a self-motivated, effective communicator with a high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating and updating product specifications outlined by senior management
  • Working with Marleylilly production staff to approve or modify personalization method on existing products
  • Working closely with merchandizing team to effectively resource legacy products as needed
  • Tracking and approval of all development submits on all outstanding reorders for apparel and accessories
  • Quality testing as needed and making technical edits to designs based on functionality and feedback from production staff

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training in design, technical design, or product development
  • Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel/Textiles, or equivalent industry experience
  • Working knowledge of PLM system and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
  • Understanding of manufacturing and product development process from inception through production
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Takes appropriate and timely action on individual tasks and projects to achieve objectives and meet deadlines by demonstrating strong planning and organizational skills
  • Exceptional ability to multi-task, with a high sense of urgency, punctuality, and timeliness
  • Enjoys engaging with others for creative solutions
  • Possess a positive and dependable attitude
  • Flexible to the changing needs of the business / department
